Practical information

La Vieille Perrotine is a unique site in the middle of the beautiful island of Oléron, but the price to pay is that access is not very straightforward!

We will propose a free shuttle bus from La Rochelle train station on Sunday 22, and towards this same station on Friday 27. Therefore, if you are not coming by car, we strongly suggest to plan your trip so that you can benefit from this bus.

1. On Sunday 22, the bus will leave at 4:30 pm from the station, “Place Pierre Semard” across the street on the left and past the "Taxis" sign.
2. On Friday 27, the bus will leave La Vieille Perrotine after lunch at about 1:30 pm and drop you off at La Rochelle station.
The trip takes about 1h30, depending on the traffic conditions.

If for any reason you cannot adapt your trip to this bus, there are some public transportation solutions but please note that you will have to take care of them on your own. In particular there is a bus (line 7) arriving at Dolus d’Oléron, very close to La Vieille Perrotine from where we could pick you up. To travel with this bus, you have to pay 7,50€ for your ticket. You can buy it directly from the bus driver.
